In the Traditional Stories unit, students focus on listening skills (to recall and respond to information). Stories include: Rata's Canoe; The Turtle's Shell; King Midas; and, The Hen and the Hawk. Templates are provided for sequencing activities. Evaluation sheets are also provided, as are teacher monitoring sheets that detail the specific skills to be observed.
