Edith Chaney
is of Te Arawa descent. Edith is passionate about Māori education and has worked for more than 30 years in education, notably as the deputy principal at Queen Victoria College, as an Education Review Officer and in the tertiary education sector as a manutaki (facilitator) on the He Kākano Project at the University of Waikato and Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi. In 2014 Edith became a Student Achievement Function (SAF) Practitioner with the Ministry of Education.
